Start Saving - Nikon D3 Announced

Well, at least I have four months to start saving my pennies!  Nikon has just announced their new D3 - a 12 megapixel, 11 frame-per-second, full-frame sensor digital pro body.  Having just been blown away with a borrowed D2X (I own a D2H), I am definitely going to be in line for this new camera. Although, at a list price of over $5,000 Canadian, I'm going to have to sell a lot of extra photos between now and the expected December release! [dpreview]

Pemberton Horseback Shoot

I was out in Pemberton today for the second photo shoot for Outdoor Adventures Whistler.  This time we were trying to capture the horseback ride experience and the amazing mountain scenery of Mount Currie.  Check out the photo set on Flickr:

JPG Magazine

I've been checking out JPG Magazine for quite some time, but never really got around to submitting anything. They currently have a theme that is right up my alley - "Gravity Powered" - so I've submitted a few photos. If they get enough votes, and get published, I get $100 and a subscription to the mag.  So, help me out and click on the link below to check out my images!

New Rally Video: Ken Block in NZ

The latest episode of my Flatovercrest.com Video Magazine series is now online.  Earlier this year I had the opportunity to travel to New Zealand with US rally competitors, Ken Block and his codriver Alex Gelsomino as they raced in the 2007 Hella International Rally of Whangarei.

Site Redesign

This site will be a mess over the next few days as I morph my Formula Photo site with my blog.  I've got some cool ideas that I'm going to try and execute, but I'm learning typepad on the fly, so it'll be an interesting viewing experience for anyone checking out the site!

In the meantime, check out the redesigned site I just made for flatovercrest.com - now that Typepad has the ability to create Pages, you can pretty much do anything a normal website could do.  I've been using the Typepad Hacks site to learn how to customize.
